Swinging...superman style

Okay, so it's just this one that he looks a little like he's superman flying. I really like that he's pointing since he's pointing at everything these days.
Sorry about the logo stamp. We just decided the other day that anything going on our photoblog needs to be stamped (and a lot of what we post here, we post there as well).
Overall, we had a really fun time at the park. He always loves to swing. He also always loves to go to the pool at another local park. I haven't been able to photograph him there, though, since it's usually just the two of us. I can't exactly shoot a pic of him in the pool!

Octo and Anya

This is my first toy to make for Giovanni. It's an octopus in case you can't tell. I think it was more fun for me to make than it is for G. He only seems interested in it when I spin it around over his head like a helicopter.
And here's some pics of his CUTE CUTE cousin. Note here (in case you know) the blanket is the same one baby Angelina slept with!

Pumpkin

We were working on a fall promotion, so we used our friends/family to be our examples!

Monastery of the Holy Spirit

Practicing HDR images. It was a bit of a headache, so although we have some more cute pics of baby G at the Monastery, I can't bring myself to continue tonight. He thought the grass was strange. He kept on pulling it up as though he was a human lawn mower. When he got down on his belly, he pushed himself up on his hands and knees. Maybe this is the way to teach him to crawl that way.
I think this picture may be a little dark, but it was also an attempt at layering pictures with HDR (high dynamic range). It looks better big.

Trip to Gatlinburg

We went to Gatlinburg for the Labor Day to see some of my friends from college. It was some of their first times to meet the little guy. Here we have Christina (soon to have a little tyke of here own) with Giovanni in the Smoky Mountain National Park.

Some random pics

Just some random pics. We got a new camera on Monday and so have been playing around with it. What a cutie pie.

Standing

Giovanni standing by himself...well, with the help of the rocker. Yesterday, it's all he wanted to do. He's still not crawling on his hands and knees. He'll only crawl like and army man on his belly. I don't know how soon it'll be before he's starting to walk, but he's showing much more interest in that than he is in getting on his hands and knees.

Trip to the Aquarium

For Jonathan's birthday, his parents took us to the Georgia Aquarium- the biggest aquarium in the world. It was cooler than we even expected! Giovanni loved it- especially having the fish swim over our heads in a ceiling tank.
During a presentation, Papa C made funny noises in Giovanni's ear. Giovanni thought it was quite funny and kept pressing his head against Papa C's face.
The granparents with Anya and Giovanni.
And here's the little girl smiling. What a cutie!

Eating hay

We were shooting engagement photos at a barn out in the country. Jonathan was holding lights and I was shooting, so neither of us could hold Giovanni for a few minutes. I sat him down on a pile of hay and before I new it he was trying to eat it. Of course. Silly little country boy.

Joy

Nothing makes me happier than seeing this little guy smile. We were just killing time today, so I thought I'd take some pics of Giovanni in his birthday suit.

Visiting Pablo

Susanna, Giovanni, Jonathan and I went to visit our good friend Pablo in Nashville at the beginning of the week. It was good to see Jonathan's old roommate again. Nashville is closer than I realized, so hopefully it won't take us too long to make the trek next time.

Giovanni was very interested in touching the trees on our walk. Pablo gave him a stick and he shook it around with joy like it was the best present he'd ever gotten.

Vacation at Vero Beach

We had an awesome time at the beach last week.  Giovanni did pretty well on his 10 hour car ride both there and back.  We went down on a Friday, which happened to be cow appreciation day at Chick-fil-a.  So we got free meals for breakfast and dinner.  Yum!  We also got ice cream twice (really three times if you count the ice cream we got for the freezer).  Double Yum.
Here's Julia learning to fly a kite.  She loved it.

At the Pool!

Giovanni and Julia loved the pool.  We ended up swimming almost every morning even before breakfast and then a couple more times every day.  It was really fun seeing how much the kids enjoyed the pool.

At the Beach!

In spite of his apparent happiness in every one of these pictures, Giovanni did not like the beach.  He didn't like the ocean and he didn't like the sand.  So we ended up hanging out at the pool most of the time.
