Rolling Over

We were practicing shooting on a white background, and Jonathan was taking pics of Giovanni's newest trick:  rolling over!
He can now go from his back to his stomach!
I took the camera away, because I thought it would be cuter to shoot Gio with his sheep.
Which he obviously found less entertaining.

Baby in a basket

We got a new background for school pictures.  We've had some trouble shooting babies in the past- we just couldn't figure out a good way to prop up the little ones, so we're experimenting on our own baby!  Thanks Giovanni.  I thought these were pretty adorable.

Jensen comes to visit

Jensen, my friend from college, came to visit and brought Giovanni a children's Bible.  In fact, these are pictures of the first person to read the Bible to Giovanni at all.  Yeah Jensen!  Thanks so much!  Giovanni was really into it.  He's starting to really like being read to (I have a feeling he just likes to look at the pictures!)

Yoda

Cassandra sent us this Yoda costume (with the outfit, but Giovanni is not wearing it right now).  Jonathan was so excited he put it on him immediately.  He started calling him Baby Yoda.  He said from now on whenever we go out the Yoda costume is going over whatever else he wears.

Jonathan and his boy

Kicking his feet

Giovanni has been kicking his feet up in the air.  I think he does it for two reasons- 1) when he has soiled himself this is a cue that it is time to change him and 2) when he raises his feet he can flop them over to one side and it turns him onto his side.  I thought it was a good way to take a picture of his cute toes.

Giovanni's first snow!

We were trying to take pictures of Giovanni in the snow, but he was really sleeping through the whole thing.  So we put him down to show that he could sleep through anything.  But of course that's when he woke up and made that annoyed face.
