A Little Patch of Earth

So we finally started our garden.  Or, as you can see Jonathan started it while Carm took care of our baby and I took pictures and generally avoided work.  I didn't want it to be too big, since I am still not convinced that I have the commitment necessary to take care of a large garden.  But we picked a couple of things (onions, zucchini, squash, pumpkin and sugar peas) and put them in the ground.  I actually am quite excited.
Giovanni didn't seem quite as excited as he was nearing nap time.

I'm most excited about the Giant Pumpkin.  Jonathan keeps telling me not to get my hopes up, but I'm holding out for a pumpkin the size of the one on the seed package.  I want a pumpkin so big I can make 20 pies out of it and use the leftover rind to make a wagon for my kid (jk).
